My name is Wendy and I've been a photographer for eighteen years!! Like many photographers, I've loved taking photos since I was a kid, and I started taking photography classes in 1999. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Professional Photographic Illustration and since then I've shot over 450 weddings! I've done large formal church weddings with songs, readings, and communion, and tiny neighborhood park ceremonies that lasted only minutes. I've shot large country club and ballroom receptions, and also small and medium ones that took place under a tent and open sky in a loved one's back yard.
I live just east of Buffalo, NY with my small family. My husband Joe is a high school science teacher, and our son Nathan is a 10th grade honor student and member of the swim team, robotics team, jazz band, and track team. Our little dog Hobbes was adopted from Magic's Mission Beagle & Hound Rescue at the end of August 2022 and he is our first dog and very loved!
We love hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling to US National Parks - as of this year we've been to 27 of the 63 National Parks, and also a bunch of other NPS sites across the country. We've taken our tent & gear to the Adirondacks, Colorado, and through several of the Eastern States while visiting national and state parks for hiking. All of us feel much more at home in the woods than in the center of any city.
I love being a photographer and I hope that I'll hear from you soon about your wedding, engagement photos, family photos, or upcoming newborn session!

"When my husband and I got engaged we both sat down and figured out our top #1 most important thing! My #1 was photography and his was food/alcohol. So he did our research and through a friend we found Wendy. We sat down with Wendy and were beyond impressed with her as a person and then the quality of her work was unreal! We did an engagement session with her and were blown away. But honestly nothing and I mean NOTHING can properly express my gratitude for what Wendy did for me on the day of our wedding. She"

"The day of our wedding, she captured every moment flawlessly and discretely - both my husband and I commented when we were looking back at our prints that neither of us had even noticed her moving around with such stealth! Our photos are absolutely beautiful; they don't look heavily filtered and capture the true, 'real' people and places. Our day was unexpectedly chilly, but you would never have known it with how willing she was to visit all of our desired outdoor locations. She also remembered every thing"

"You can tell talking to her that she loves what she does, and you can FEEL it in her photos. As others have mentioned, her personality brought an aura of calm to what could have been a crazy day, and I experienced both moments where I forgot she was even there while she snuck the most beautiful pictures in the background, and moments where just having her there helped settle my nerves, keep me on schedule, and remind me to enjoy every moment of the day. Wendy "got" me."
